Looking through the Kaleidoscope: Immigration and Mobility Policy in 2025 and Beyond – Nancy Morowitz & Scott Leeb, Fragomen (12:00PM EST)
2024 was touted as the year of the election – for the first time, over half the world’s population went to the polls in national elections. Immigration, along with the economy and national security, was not only at the top of candidates’ agendas, but also highly polarizing. Results were a mixed bag, but one thing is clear, the results will prove consequential for years to come. Please join Nancy Morowitz and Scott Leeb From Fragomen as they explore the immigration and mobility implications of recent elections and what Trump 2.0 means for your business.

Strategic Marketing in Unpredictable Markets – Paul Drees, Market Edge (1:00PM EST)
Many B2B companies operate in increasingly VUCA environments (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous). In these markets, traditional linear planning proves insufficient as conditions can change rapidly and unpredictably. Organizations must develop dynamic capabilities to sense, characterize and respond to market shifts quickly and appropriately. This presentation explores how Strategic Marketing should lead the effort to:
- Understand and characterize market drivers contributing to the VUCA environment
- Recognize biases that impair market insight
- Create environment specific marketing approaches
- Develop appropriate risk management
Success in VUCA environments ultimately depends on creating organizational alignment, implementing robust risk management, and maintaining marketing flexibility. ISBM Members will have the opportunity to access a tool to do a VUCA analysis, which Paul will be showing in his presentation.
Paul is chief executive officer of Market Edge, a global consulting firm that delivers project consulting and management development programs in strategy, marketing, sales and innovation for industrial and chemical manufacturing firms.
